Sales Development Assistant

Position Overview


Róisín O’Farrell Art is looking for an experienced sales development assistant to work with her in supporting our expansion efforts into new retail sales markets for our fine art prints.


This is a contracted, part-time role that reports directly to Róisín; a remote working position with payment paid on a per hour rate.


The position will also require flexibility including some eventual travel to trade fairs and potential vendors, in the UK.


Who We Are


Róisín is an Irish, creative, solo entrepreneur supporting an enthusiastic, dedicated and longstanding team of contracted project managers, administrators, designers, printers, framers, and others. Working well together, with great working relationships, the team helps to achieve her business goals. Róisín O’Farrell is an Artist and Teacher that is recognized to be successful both artistically and commercially. Her paintings and prints are highly regarded and in high demand.


What We Do


Róisín O’Farrell is a successful Irish artist, passionate about two things: painting and teaching!


  • She exhibits her original oil paintings widely in established galleries in the UK, Ireland and abroad. 
  • She sells fine art print reproductions of her work in over 15 retail stores in Ireland and is looking to expand abroad.
  • And she teaches both online courses and in-person workshops and retreats, specialising in teaching anyone who loves to paint, how to paint better and helping Artists and Creative Entrepreneurs how to sell their work and get their business mojo going.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Develop/augment retail sales strategy for selling Open Edition Prints 
  • Develop and nurture leads, prospects and new retail customers
  • Develop sales processes and “buyer personas” for retail customers
  • Maintain a sales pipeline in our CRM using Active Campaign
  • Development of sales automation to include email marketing 
  • Negotiate, and close sales contracts
  • Attend trade fairs and visit potential retail vendors during the sales process.


An ideal candidate is/has:


  • 1-3 years of relevant sales experience preferably B2B
  • Proven track record of generating leads and closing sales
  • Experience building and maintaining a sales database CRM
  • Understanding of how retail buyer relationships are formed and maintained
  • A strategic B2B thinker with strong planning and organization skills 
  • Achievement-oriented with excellent listening, negotiating and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of the UK market will be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in dealing with customs and Brexit processes would also be very desirable
  • Ability to travel within the UK occasionally for trade fairs/sales meetings
  • An enthusiastic embrace of the artistic brand that is Roisin O’Farrell Art


Finally, an individual who may not tick every box in the above criteria will go a long way if

  • they have the confidence to achieve sales success,
  • have a positive attitude and
  • have the personality to work well with Róisín and as part of a small team.
